Filtering and Editing Movies, there's a new sheriff in town
Remember back in the day a place in American Fork called "Sunrise Family Video". In case you don't know of them, they were the first video store in America to actively try and filter crap out of movies and then sell them to the public. They did this by physically splicing the tape at specific sections until the edited parts were gone.
Well the movie studios did not like that and it may or may not have led to their closure. Fast forward to 2016 and we've got a new game in town called VidAngel. It's similar to ClearPlay and Sunrise Family Video, but instead of renting a filtered movie, you actually buy it and then sell it back to VidAngel when you're done with it.
This allows you to rent for ridiculous prices (only $1 for DVD quality). They have a huge selection of new releases all with filters that you can choose to add or leave out depending on how much you want to see.
If there's a scene in the movie that's critical and shouldn't be edited out, they'll let you know and let you decide whether or not to watch it.
Give VidAngel a try today and read up about how to watch rented movies online on the cheap.
